Let’s Get Ready

Preparing Our Hearts

Philippians 4:6-7

As we begin this week, let’s focus on the preparation of our hearts. Just as Nehemiah surveyed the ruins of Jerusalem, we too must look inward and assess the state of our souls. Are there anxieties, fears, or unresolved issues that need our attention? Prayerfully bring these matters before God. Philippians 4:6-7 assures us that when we present our worries to God with thanksgiving, His peace will guard our hearts and minds. Taking time to prepare spiritually allows us to enter a place of expectation. It is where God begins His work and enables us to dream for what lies ahead. Today, set aside moments to reflect on your expectations for the future and ask God to equip you to meet them with a prepared heart.

Gracious Lord, help me to prepare my heart for the journey ahead. I bring my worries and fears before You, asking for Your peace to fill my spirit. Teach me to trust You more deeply as I set my expectations high. Amen.
