Our Need - Romans 3:23
Episode Summary: In this first episode of The Romans Road-1962, Leonard begins the journey through the message of Romans by focusing on humanity’s shared need before God.
Romans 3:23 reminds us that sin is not limited to one kind of person or one kind of background, because we are all guilty before a Just God. This episode explains why we cannot understand grace until we first understand our need for rescue, forgiveness, and righteousness through Jesus Christ.
In this episode we will see:
- Why Romans 3:23 brings every person to the same starting point.
- What it means that “all have sinned.”
- Why sin is more than a mistake or a comparison to others.
- How falling short of God’s glory reveals our need for more than self-improvement.
- Why recognizing our need prepares us to receive God’s grace.
